Hey there!

I’m Jade, and I’m an aspiring author and creative writer. I created this page to practice short works of fiction and get over my fear of sharing with the world. I hope you feel free to share your feedback and experience, for I am muddling through this process!

  • Lost Soul
“Angela? Angela! Wake up!?” Sydney fumbled shaking fingers onto the neck of her patient, no carotid pulse to be found, “Shit! Kelly, call a code!” Sydney jumped on top of the motionless body of Angela, feeling the crack of her ribs as she compressed into her sternum. The sweat was starting to drip down herContinue reading “Lost Soul”
  • A friend
I’m short and a little fat, But a joyous thing to behold, Maybe I’m not a lot to look at, But I have a story to be told. Just dust me off a bit, And give me a second look, I see a cozy place to sit, Your friend, a little brown book. @thejadewriter @jademaag
  • Heartache
The hardest part about a heartache Is realizing you’re grieving an idea, That you convinced yourself, Was real for a short while. And what a lovely while it was, Until reality swooped in, And brought you back, To the miserable now.

Posting a new piece every weekish (I still have to mom two toddlers and work)

About Me

I have wanted to write a fantasy novel series all my life, but have come to the hard truth that I am terrified of sharing my work. I am hopeful though blogging short pieces of fiction, I can learn to embrace constructive criticism so I may reach my dream of publishing a story one day. Otherwise though, I have a small farm with a multitude of chickens and sheep and border collies trying to continually herd them while I manage my toddlers and a husband that routinely forgets to feed himself. I am also a part time nurse. I always have plenty to do, so running a blog just seemed like one more thing I needed!
