It’s taken a long time for me to allow myself to pursue a dream of writing a book. My intentions were to go into college for an English degree, but my high-school education in English was lacking, so I pursued a career in the sciences and have been a nurse now for about eight years. My ability to work with people though and hear the life stories of thousands of individuals has only kept that old dream alive. I have completed a first draft for a developmental editor and am waiting eagerly for that critical feedback. I am finding the post first draft phase very uncomfortable and discovering I did some things out of order. If I can help other aspiring authors learn from my mistakes along the way, wonderful!
